Question: Why do you paint during term time?

  • This is the best part of the job.
    • There is so much excitement, enthusiasm and fun generated when we paint during term time.
    • The parents, students and staff all get involved and comment positively as the artworks are being produced.
    • Students gather around the barriers throughout the day and with each visit they see the change in the areas.
    • When the outlining process starts, they see the image take shape and they begin to pick their favorites.
    • The most common question by this stage is”When can we play?“. For us, this is a good sign, the students are excited by the product and wanting to engage.
    • The ultimate compliment for us is when the teachers realise or understand the curriculum value to each game.
    • In some schools, teachers are not informed about our process and when on duty they begin to see the games take shape and understand the teaching value.
    • This adds to the enthusiasm that is already shown by the students.
    • We have run our discounts during term time to encourage schools to really consider this option.
    • Every school that we have painted during term time has embraced the idea and seen the value of it.
    • We have had Principal’s and Deputy Principle’s happy and pleased at the idea of painting during term time, so we do encourage it.

Question: Why can I not see the whole image on your website?

  • The images have been reduced for Copyright reasons.
  •  Schools get a full image view when they request a Price List or Site Visit
    • When on Site we bring a Folder with All the images and the Prices for the school representatives to look at and discuss
    • This is a fun time watching teachers and Principals basically ‘Shop’
    • This process can take some time as there are many images to consider and placement within the school grounds
    • This is also why we have ‘The PACKAGES deals’
  • There have been some well-meaning parents, teachers and ground staff who have attempted to do our artworks, however, when the images have not turned out the way it has been expected we have been asked to come in and help.
    • Unfortunately, this can have a costly effect as we have seen.
    • Some parents, teachers and ground staff have left and there is no record of the product they have used, making it hard to apply our product
    • They have painted over concrete that would not have been recommended by us (mainly for safety reasons) so we have to decline a re-do
  • We have kept our prices at a very costly range to help schools
  • We have also developed the Package deals mentioned above to allow for better value for money
  • We encourage schools to contact us first

Question: What are more popular games?

  •  Each game selection depends on each school of course, but we do get asked this question a lot, which is why we have designed the ‘Package Deals’. The most common and teachable games are:
    • 1 – 9: Any of the Hopscotch’s. The Frog, Blue Bear and Goanna is the most popular
    • 28-31: The Number Worm – the variants in numbers for maths counting from 1 to 30, 1 to 50 or 1 to 100
    • 43: The Alphabet Snake – the colours and the spelling components
    • 38 0r 40: The Chess Board or Snakes N Ladders. The co-ordinates help with maths addition, multiplication and subtraction.
    • 46 or 47: The Spelling Crab or Snail. These games help with spelling lists, spelling answers

Question: How long will the painted product last?

  • Every school is different – which is why we try to encourage a Site Inspection
  • On average games can last up to 3 or 6 years in open areas, colours fade in the sun
  • and 12+ years in under-covered areas
  • Some schools will have us re-paint the games after 4 or 5 years (and we offer a reduced price for this) just to keep the games fresh

Question: How long will the process take?

  • A 10 game package will take 2 to 3 days
  • larger packages 4 to 5 days
  • We are weather dependent
  • The faster we can get the base painting done the quicker the package can be completed
  • We will do the longest hours on the first, second and third days
